IBM z/OS (OS/390)
With BMP - SQL UPDATE + ROLLBACK executed more than 2 times fails with AMI-0143. It works well if it is executed only 2 times and ROLLBACK is used after each update
For exemple, If the following statements are executed 3 times, they raise the error messages shown below:
EXEC SQL UPDATE DEPT SET DEPTNO = 10 WHERE DEPTNO =10;
PUT SKIP EDIT('AFTER++',SQLCA)(A) ;
CALL PLITDLI(P3,CHKP,IOTP,IOAREA) ;
PUT SKIP EDIT (IOAREA)(A);
PUT SKIP EDIT ('-------1ST-- ENDED ---------',TPSTCD)(A); .
Error: AMI-143 Delete session %d.%d failed (%d); may still be active in Oracle.
Cause: An Access Manager request to delete an Oracle RDBMS session received
Action: The session is logically discarded by the Access Manager. If this
message occurs in conjunction with a failure of the Oracle connection,
it is normal and can be ignored. Other- wise, the specific error should
be investigated to determine why the session wasn't deleted. Repeated
occurrences of this message over time may signal a resource problem in
the target Oracle instance.
