When moving a table using the 'alter table move' command, the operation takes a very long time to complete. When querying v$sqlarea, it can be seen that the top SQL involves operations on an object called mlog$_<table_name>, where <table_name> is the name of the table being moved.
A check of this mlog$_<table_name> table reveals that it has many rows.
