Tracing Not Working As Documented, No Traces Generated (Doc ID 387614.1)

Symptoms

After installing the Oracle Services for Microsoft Transaction Server (OraMTS) the following parameters under the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Oracle\HOMEID were edited to start tracing:

ORAMTS_CP_TRACE_DIR = C:\Oracle\product\10.2.0\Client_1\oramts\Trace
ORAMTS_CP_TRACE_LEVEL = 5

However no traces were generated. Verified with the OraMTS documentation that the tracing parameters was set correctly.

Changes

Installed 10.1 or 10.2 OraMTS.
