How to do Kerberos authentication with a Username & Realm greater than 30 characters (Doc ID 388598.1)

Symptoms

The maximum length of a username within the Oracle Database is 30 characters. When using Kerberos authentication the Kerberos Realm is added to the username which further restricts the size of username available.
