This document is limited in scope to connections on Windows servers. The
Symptoms
Remote SQL*Plus connections to newly created database hang indefinitely. Local connections are successful. Listener and database are installed in same ORACLE_HOME. No errors reported in listener.log. Connection shows 'established'. There may be no errors in a sqlnet trace, depending on the version of client. In some versions, you may find the following stack in a client trace:
