Symptoms

When using Microsoft Windows Terminal Server edition, the ODBC initialization file, SQSAPI32.INI, is being ignored. This applies to Microsoft Windows 2000, XP and 2003 Terminal Server Editions.

Any settings, such as alternate ports and tracing, are not picked up as a consequence.

Enabling certain security policies for the user in Windows Terminal Server Edition.
