This problem can occur on any platform.

Symptoms

Alert log shows the error ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [504], [0xC0000000C0626CF8], [128], [5], [library cache], [0], [2], [0x000000000]

followed by:

ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [kghfrx()+48] [SIGSEGV] [unknown code]
[0x40000253455F5361] [] []

- OR -

ORA-4031: unable to allocate 28700 bytes of shared memory ("","","","")


Call stack trace is similar to:
kgesiv ksesic7 ksl_level_check kslgetl ksl_get_child_latch kslgpl

- OR -

ksl_level_check kslgetl ksl_get_child_latch kslgpl

A library_cache event is in the initialization parameter file, init.ora, for troubleshooting a problem. 

For example:  event="4031 trace name library_cache level 10"
