Goal

You have altered your database parameters using the alter system set commands and after shutting down the database you are unable to bring the database back up.  You do not have a backup of the good spfile and you do not have an init.ora to use to bring up the database.  You want to revert back to the original settings but are unsure how to accomplish this.
