GATHER_STATS_JOB Does Not Run when Run using OEM Database Control (Doc ID 428252.1)

When trying to execute the GATHER_STATS_JOB through Oracle Enterprise Manager Database Control,

OEM refreshes the window and indicates that the job is submitted. But in the current execution or history tab,

there is no entry for the Job. Job seems to be not executed.

Note: - GATHER_STATS_JOB in 10g captures the database statistics and is scheduled to run during maintenance window.

This note discusses the issue when you try to gather the database statistics immediately using OEM database control and the job does not run.
