DataPump Schema Export Performance Problem When Tables Are Prepared For Streams Capture (Doc ID 435958.1)

Oracle Server - Enterprise Edition - Version: 10.1.0.2 to 10.2.0.4 - Release: 10.1 to 10.2
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A DataPump schema level export performs poorly when exporting a schema with a large number of tables which have been prepared for Streams capture.

The schema in question is the core schema in a PEOPLESOFT database and it contains about 38000 tables and an even larger number of constraints.

The source of the performance problem is the statement:

SELECT NVL(MAX(CO.SCN), 0) FROM
ALL_CAPTURE_PREPARED_TABLES CO WHERE CO.TABLE_OWNER = :B2 AND CO.TABLE_NAME = :B1
