Symptoms
While running RMAN backups, the following error:
RMAN> backup
2> filesperset 10
3> archivelog like '%/arch/%'
4> skip inaccessible
5> delete all input;
...

ORA-17500: ODM err:Unrecognized file type (e.g., greater than 16 See Bug 16408)
There are no problem writing in this directory. The backup executes without problem (and writing to this directory) until it begins to backup the "Control File Autobackup"
