Goal

This document outlines how to create a Stored Outline based upon a Cursor that already exists in the Shared Pool using the DBMS_OUTLN.CREATE_OUTLINE procedure.

NOTE: Starting from Oracle Database 12 c Release 1 (12.1) this feature is deprecated and replaced with SQL Plan Management (SPM). For more details see:
