Symptoms

Trying to compile a Pro*C application fails with the error PCC-S-02014 on file /usr/include/standards.h. 

(OR)

Trying to compile Precompiler Pro*C demo codes.  e.g., sample1.pc 

Oracle Precompiler Pro*C 10g 10.2 application reports the following errors: 

PCC-S-02014, Encountered the symbol "warning" when expecting one of the following: ...
PCC-S-02201, Encountered the symbol "size_t" when expecting one of the following: ...
PCC-S-02201, Encountered the symbol "extern" when expecting one of the following: ... 
PCC-S-02201, Encountered the symbol "buf_len" when expecting one of the following: ...
PCC-F-02102, Fatal error while doing C preprocessing ...
make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 1.
make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 2.

Changes

- Either upgraded the AIX from 5.2 to 5.3 (OR) Had a new install - Pro*C on AIX.

- Upgraded to AIX 6.1 and using Oracle 10g 10.2
