HP-UX Itanium: OUI-67215, "libocci.so.10.1 does not exist" and "ld: Unsatisfied symbol 'LdiInterCheck'" errors (Doc ID 454592.1)

Symptoms

While attempting to apply any interim patch against a 10.2.0.3 ORACLE_HOME on HP-UX Itanium which tries to relink the "client_sharedlib" target, it will fail while running genoccish with an error similar to the following reported in the OPatch log (opatch<date>_<time>.log)...

There are many more "Unsatisfied symbol" errors for various objects, but all against libocci10.a.

You will also likely see the following error during the relink phase:

/u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/bin/genoccish[77]: aCC: not found. :failed
INFO:--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SEVERE:OUI-67204:OPatch Session completed with warnings.
