ORA-00600[15735] When Querying A Table Whose Parallel Degree Is >1 (Doc ID 455202.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.


a) Alert will report ORA-00600[15735]
b) Trace file for the error will show a SELECT
c) select table_name, degree from dba_tables where table_name = '<name of table>';

This will show a degree >1

d) SELECT will work if table is altered as NOPARALLEL

e) The ORA-600 will contain information in the arguments that matches back to the database
parameter parallel_execution_message_size eg

The 2nd and 3rd arguments mean that we need a parallel_execution_message_size of 2176 but the limit of 2152 has been imposed by the init/spfile

The ORA-00600 trace will have a stack similar to :-

f) Or Import getting this error:ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [15735], [2240], [2152], [], [], [], [], [] with similar symptoms.
