Symptoms

You notice some Audit options in view DBA_PRIV_AUDIT_OPTS as follows:

SQL>  select *  from dba_priv_audit_opts where user_name='ANY CLIENT';

    USER_NAME                      PROXY_NAME
    ------------------------------ ------------------------------
    PRIVILEGE                                SUCCESS    FAILURE
    ---------------------------------------- ---------- ----------
    ANY CLIENT
    AUDIT SYSTEM                             BY ACCESS  BY ACCESS

The AUDIT SYSTEM is just an example privilege, the typical characteristic of this problem however is that USER_NAME is 'ANY CLIENT' but the PROXY_NAME is null (blank). This is not normal.

Another possibility is you encounter the following internal error:

ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [ktsauupd398], [0]

Changes

You have previously entered an invalid Audit command.
