Goal
Oracle user names are limited to 30 characters. When using kerberos authentication the kerberos user names can be long and more than 30 characters.
Oracle database 11g Release 1 (11.1.0.6.0) enables you to create external database users who have their kerberos user principal name longer than 30 characters. It is no longer restricted by the number of characters allowed in a database user name.
