Symptoms
When attempting to edit a Net Service name with the NetCA tool you encounter the following problem -->
Choose "Local Net Service Name configuration" in the tool, the following errors are generated:

It is likely that the tnsnames.ora and/or sqlnet,ora file(s) has been manually edited.
