Sqlplus Errors With Context Index When Going Through 10g Listener (Doc ID 463387.1)

Symptoms

-- Problem Statement:
After setting up a 9i instance to be accessible via 2 listeners (10g on port 1522 and 9i on port
1521).

queries run when connecting to the db using the 10g listener:
=============================================================
select count(*) from all_person where contains(email,'carrie') > 0;
select count(*) from all_person where contains(email,'carrie') > 0
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-29902: error in executing ODCIIndexStart() routine
ORA-20000: Oracle Text error:
DRG-50100: CORE LSF error: 4294967295

The same query run through the 9i listener is successful.
