SP2-0310: Unable To Open File "CATMDLOC.SQL" When Installing Oracle interMedia (Doc ID 465052.1)

During installing Oracle interMedia on Oracle Database on HP-UX PA-RISC(64-bit) or Linux Itanium the following errors can be seen:

when running ordinst.sql to create the users

SP2-0310: unable to open file "%ORACLE_HOME%/md/admin/mdprivs.sql" 
SP2-0310: unable to open file "%ORACLE_HOME%/rdbms/admin/utlraw.sql" 
SP2-0310: unable to open file "%ORACLE_HOME%/rdbms/admin/prvtrawb.plb"

when running iminst.sql to install the Oracle interMedia types and packages

SP2-0310: unable to open file %ORACLE_HOME%/md/admin/catmdloc.sql"

Selecting from DBA_LIBRARIES after finishing the installation will show a wrong value for FILE_SPEC:

SQL> select owner, library_name, file_spec
from dba_libraries
where owner='ORDSYS'
and library_name = 'ORDIMLIBS';

Opening $ORACLE_HOME/ord/admin/imimdloc.sql shows a substitution variable %ORACLE_HOME% as follows :


REM Install UTL_RAW  


Opening $ORACLE_HOME/ord/im/admin/imimdloc.sql will shows the a substitution variable %ORACLE_HOME%:


Opening $ORACLE_HOME/ord/im/admin/ordlib.sql shows a substitution variable %IM_SHLIB%:

create or replace library ORDIMLIBS as '%IM_SHLIB%';
