1. Attempting to retrieve sysdate from the database using "trunc(SYSDATE)" through the JDBC Thin Client  generates a coredump in "lxhasc".

2. The stack trace includes: ...ssexhd funlockfile lxhasc ldxsnf ldxgpc evadrn evaopn2 evaopn2 qerixGetKey qerixStart

3. Example:
Select statement triggering this issue will include something like:

.... WHERE hire_date >= trunc(sysdate) ...
