EXP-2 When Exporting From 10g With 9i Export Utility (Doc ID 469784.1)

This problem can occur on any platform.


You want to export a 10gR2 database import the dump into 9iR2. For this reason you use the exp utility version 9iR2 and this ends with errors:

Connected to: Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release -
64bit Production
With the Partitioning, Oracle Label Security, OLAP and Data Mining Scoring
Engine options
Export done in WE8ISO8859P1 character set and AL16UTF16 NCHAR character set
EXP-00002: error in writing to export file
EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully

The created export dump contains only the header that ends after DBTIMEZONE=UTC is received from server.
