Operating System Authentication To The Database Fails When External Password Store Is Configured (Doc ID 472433.1)

Symptoms

When the external password store is set ( sqlnet.wallet_override=true ) then the operating system authentication using 'sqlplus /' to the Database fails with the following error :

ORA-01017: invalid username/password
