DataPump Import (IMPDP) Using REMAP_SCHEMA Option Fails With Error ORA-29833 (Doc ID 553026.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to import a table with a type and domain index using DataPump import utility and REMAP_SCHEMA option:

#> impdp tomb/<PASSWORD> TABLES=test directory=data_pump_dir dumpfile=test.dmp REMAP_SCHEMA=sde:tomb


the following errors occur:

ORA-39083: Object type INDEX failed to create with error:
ORA-29833: indextype does not exist
Failing sql is:
CREATE INDEX "TOMB"."TEST_IDX" ON "TOMB"."TEST" ("SHAPE") INDEXTYPE IS "TOMB"."
ST_SPATIAL_INDEX" PARAMETERS ('st_grids=500 st_srid=65')PARALLEL 1
Job "TOMB"."SYS_IMPORT_TABLE_01" completed with 1 error(s) at 10:43:05
