Symptoms

Trying to select data from MySQL using 11.1.0.6 DG4ODBC gives the following error -

SQL> select * from test_table@mysql ;
ERROR:
ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message:
[Generic Connectivity Using ODBC][MySQL][ODBC 3.51
Driver][mysqld-5.0.24a-community-nt]You have an error in your SQL syntax; check
the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax
to use near '"TEST_TABLE" WHERE "col1"='Bill '' at line 1 (SQL State: 37000; SQL

ORA-02063: preceding 2 lines from MYSQL

This can also happen using an earlier RDBMS such as 9.2.0.8 to access 11.2 DG4ODBC.
