Symptoms
When trying to perform an ALTER SYSTEM SET DB_CACHE_SIZE command in an ASM instance, the ORA-07445[kcbw_check_resize_errors] [SIGSEGV] error is raised. The error occurs regardless of whether the SCOPE clause is used or not.
