Goal
The goal of this document is to offer a step by step guide to creating a RAC standby database for a RAC primary database on the same cluster. This is not a production-recommended solution, but can be very helpful for testing purposes in terms of familiarizing oneself with these Oracle Database features.
This note was written / tested on a two-node Oracle RAC cluster running version 10.2.0.3.17 on platform: Microsoft Windows 2003 SP2 with database files stored in Automatic Storage Management (ASM).
