This note presents tools available for managing raw partitions on Windows platforms mainly intended for - but not limited to - use with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC).

Raw partitions can be used to store Oracle Clusterware files (OCR and voting disks) or as an alternative to Oracle Cluster File System (OCFS) and Automatic Storage Management (ASM) for the storage of Oracle datafiles.

This note includes a description of the use of the Object Link Manager (OLM) that is available in all versions since Oracle8i.

This note provides information useful for system and database administrators supporting (single instance and RAC) Oracle environments on Windows that are making use of raw partitions.
