Symptoms

Oracle 10.2.0.3 on Solaris 5.8

Startup fails with ORA-64 error if db_keep_cache_size = 50g.

SQL> startup pfile =<FILESYSTEM_PATH>/10.2.0.3/dbs/init<INSTANCE_NAME>.ora
ORA-00064: object is too large to allocate on this O/S (1,16777216)

Changes

Server has 128 gigs of physical memory and want to have an SGA of 90gigs.
