This problem can occur on any platform.
Error ORA-00600  is reported to the alert.log and the instance is terminated by PMON.
To be encountering this problem resource limits must be in use in the database and sessions must be killed from within Oracle using the alter system kill session command. The error is normally encountered only in environments where the kill command is being executed programmatically at short intervals from the last command execution.
SQL> ALTER SYSTEM KILL SESSION <SID>, <SERIAL#>;
