DataPump Export or Import Hangs If Parameter FIXED_DATE Is Set (Doc ID 563171.1)

Symptoms

You set in your database the parameter FIXED_DATE to a certain date (format YYYY-MM-DD-HH24:MI:SS), for example in your init.ora file:

FIXED_DATE = '2008-01-01-23:00:00'

Then you try to export or import using DataPump Utility. This hangs at the begin without an error message and produces an empty logfile:

#> expdp system/passwd directory=dpu dumpfile=tab001.dmp tables=test.tab001 logfile=impdp_tab001.log
