Rman Backup Validate Ends With ORA-00600:[1868] Or ORA-7445: [ksfqfcls()+59]

A BACKUP VALIDATE command that uses a channel which has been allocated with MAXPIECESIZE specified may not complete. After exiting RMAN one of the following error messages are reported in the alert log:

ORA-600: internal error code, arguments: [1868], [0x000000000]

Stack trace is similar to:
ksesic1 ksfqfcls krbbcc krbpgc ksmupg

ORA-7445: exception encountered: core dump [ksfqfcls()+59] [SIGSEGV]

For example: 

rman target / 
run { 
allocate channel c1 device type disk maxpiecesize 50k 
maxopenfiles 1 format '%s_%p_%c_%t' ;
backup check logical tag='test' VALIDATE database filesperset=1; 
release channel c1;
