Goal


Resolve / Workaround from a RMAN RESTORE failure with corrupted Backuppiece

 

RMAN RESTORE fails with

Error: ORA-00600: [krbrrd_comp_ksfqrd_noblks], [/var/oracle/backup/t5220x1041/20080509_0300/VSDB_S1-1214583564-20080509-7hjfti2v_1_1.bkp], [753664], [], [], [], [], []

 

# Verification can be done using RMAN VALIDATE like example

RMAN> RESTORE VALIDATE DATABASE;

Error:

Note: RMAN> RESTORE VALIDATE DATABASE;
      This will write a tracefile to your ./diag/...../trace directory containing status of that backups
