Goal

This document would guide you to configure dispatchers for Real Application Cluster (RAC) database.

Following is the RAC sample configuration:

RAC Service Name: racdb.oracle.com
#Node1

Public Interface : node1.oracle.com (FQDN), node1 (hostname)

Virtual Interface: node1-vip.oracle.com (FQDN), node1-vip (hostname)

Private Interface: node1-priv.oracle.com (FQDN), node1-priv (hostname)

Instance: racdb1

#Node2

Public Interface : node2.oracle.com (FQDN), node2 (hostname)

Virtual Interface: node2-vip.oracle.com (FQDN), node2-vip (hostname)

Private Interface: node2-priv.oracle.com (FQDN), node2-priv (hostname)

Instance: racdb2
