Ora-07445: Exception Encountered: Core Dump [Kudmnli()+376] when running a query against external table remotely (Doc ID 580220.1)

This problem can occur on any platform.

Symptoms

The alert log gives the below error message when an SQL is run against an external table remotely. Client terminates with ORA-3113 . When the query is run locally , it works.

ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [kudmnli()+376] [SIGSEGV] [Address not mapped to object] [0x000000038] [] []

Listener services show the static registration of the database service.

Server terminates after receiving the select query from the cleint. At the same time alert log reports ORA-7445 error with a core dump. Client receives ORA-3113 .
