Symptoms
A database using 10gR2 (10.2.0.3) and ASM, a background process reports error ORA-600 [kfioTranslateIO01]. This error can be reported by any process in the database, but in this particular case the affected process was background process CTWR, related to block change tracking. Note that some background processes can die without affecting the instance, but not for CTWR.
