Oracle SQL/Services for Rdb on OpenVMS - Version 7.1.4 and laterOracle ODBC Driver for Rdb - Version 3.0 and later
Generic Windows
Purpose
This document describes the various parameters that can be adjusted for the SQL/Services client for Microsoft Windows including ODBC.
Note, as of Oracle ODBC for RDB 3320, the TCPIP port or DECNET Object can be specified as part of the ODBC data source and editing this file to specify the network object or port is no longer needed.
The SQL/Services client is the portion of SQL/Services that resides on the end user's computer and accepts SQL/Services API calls. The Oracle ODBC Driver for Rdb translates native ODBC API calls to SQL/Services API calls and sends them through the SQL/Services client.
