Symptoms

You attach to an Oracle Rdb database through an existing application such as an RMU utility, interactive SQL, or other interface. The operation fails with a %FAC-F-NORTUPB or %FAC-F-NOTSNBLK error, where 'FAC' is the facility and is either RDMS, RMU or RDO. For example, in interactive SQL, the errors are:
