Symptoms

You are unable to get all your packages to change to a status of VALID.

You have recently upgraded to 10.2.0.3 or have recently made a change that required you to recompile objects.

You have queried:

select comp_name, version, status from dba_registry;

Oracle Database Packages and Types  INVALID  10.2.0.3.0"

SQL> select object_name, object_type, owner from dba_objects where status = 'INVALID';
