Goal

This article suggests the best method to add the Olap option in a database instance,
where the Olap option has never been installed in previous.

For example, it could happen that once upgraded a 9.2.0.6 instance (with Olap option included) to 10.2.0.4 (without Olap option installed), then the dba_registry would report something as:

COMP_NAME                                STATUS      VERSION
---------------------------------------- ----------- ----------
JServer JAVA Virtual Machine             VALID       10.2.0.4.0
OLAP Analytic Workspace                  OPTION OFF  9.2.0.6.0
OLAP Catalog                             OPTION OFF  9.2.0.6.0
Oracle Data Mining                       VALID       10.2.0.4.0
Oracle Database Catalog Views            VALID       10.2.0.4.0
Oracle Database Java Packages            VALID       10.2.0.4.0
Oracle Database Packages and Types       VALID       10.2.0.4.0
Oracle OLAP API                          OPTION OFF  9.2.0.6.0
Oracle Text                              VALID       10.2.0.4.0
Oracle Workspace Manager                 VALID       10.2.0.4.3
Oracle XDK                               VALID       10.2.0.4.0
Oracle XML Database                      VALID       10.2.0.4.0

Indeed, deselecting the Olap option while a 10.2.0.x instance is being created, after there isn't any possible
to provide the Olap option, for example, upgrading another instance with Olap option installed.
