Resolve TimesTen Error : "6226: Ignoring value requested for first connection attribute 'Connections'" After Increasing Connections=N Attribute And Rebooting OS (Doc ID 729266.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 27, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database - Version 6.0.2 to 7.0.5.0.0 [Release 6.0 to 7.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Scenario: Need to change the value of a first connection attribute (e.g.  Connections, Permsize). So modify the dsn definition with the new value and reboot the system.  However,the datastore is subsequently loaded using the old value.  Replication policy is set to "always" in this case.

For example:

Datastore using Connections=64.

Modify Connections=100 for the dsn.

Reboot the system.

When trying to connect to the datastore after reboot, the following warning is returned to indicate that the datastore is still using the old value of 64:

connect "dsn=sample_tt60;connections=100";
Warning 6226: Ignoring value requested for first connection attribute 'Connections' -- value currently in use: 64, requested value: 100
