Purpose

This troubleshooting guide contains information on how to diagnose issues with connection timeouts where the origin of the problem is suspected to be inside the Oracle Database.
In such cases, a first investigation at the network layer or Oracle Net may have pointed to the Database as a possible location for the root cause of the timeout.
