Symptoms
ASM does discover NFS disks but no diskgroup can be created with them:
From the ASM instance, the NFS devices are been discovered but still these cannot be used to create a diskgroup, even if the NFS device's owner:group and file permissions allow the Oracle software owner to access them (example: oracle:oinstall and 660).
v$ASM_DISK shows for the NFS disk, HEADER_STATUS of UNKNOWN, MOUNT_STATUS of CLOSED, MODE_STATUS of ONLINE and STATE of NORMAL
Using certified NFS storage vendor (in this case, NetApps NFS)
