Symptoms
An Oracle Rdb database hangs after a node failure. A recovery process is waiting for a page lock. A user process is waiting for the cluster membership (MEMBIT) lock.
The recovery process is waiting for the user process, the user process is waiting for the Rdb monitor, and the monitor is waiting for the recovery process. This last wait is not on a lock, so the normal deadlock detection does not work.
