ORA-23460 and ORA-1403 in Conflict Resolution Method (Doc ID 732685.1)

Symptoms

Conflict resolution routine fails with the following error

ORA-23460: missing value for column "<column name>" in resolution method "<method>" for
"<owner>"."<object>"."REP_UPDATE" ORA-01403: no data found


eg:-

Here MAXIMUM conflict resolution routine is specified for table <TABLE NAME> in <SCHEMA NAME> schema.


DECLARE
cols DBMS_UTILITY.NAME_ARRAY;
BEGIN

cols(1) := 'ID';
cols(2) := 'NAME';

DBMS_APPLY_ADM.SET_UPDATE_CONFLICT_HANDLER(
object_name => '<SCHEMA NAME>.<TABLE NAME>',
method_name => 'MAXIMUM',
resolution_column => '<Column Name>',
column_list => cols);
END;
/

This fails with error

ORA-23460: missing value for column "ID" in resolution method "MAXIMUM" for
"<SCHEMA NAME>"."<TABLE NAME>"."REP_UPDATE" ORA-01403: no data found
