Symptoms

Trying to open the DB with large_pool_size specifically set to 0 in the parameters configuration file and SGA_TARGET in use the following error is raised during startup:

ORA-04031: unable to allocate 16048 bytes of shared memory ("large pool","unknown object","large pool","PX msg pool")
