ORA-600[kghfrh1] Errors When Gathering DBMS Stats (Doc ID 735337.1)

This problem can occur on any platform.

Symptoms

The following errors are reported in the alert.log:

     ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kghfrh1], [0x000000000], [], [], [], [], [], []

There may be a current SQL reported in the trace file:

 

select /*+ no_parallel(t) no_parallel_index(t) dbms_stats
           cursor_sharing_exact use_weak_name_resl dynamic_sampling(0)
           no_monitoring */ count(*)
from ...

 

The call stack will resemble:

     kghnerror <- kghfrh_internal <- kghfrh <- kxsFreePersistentHe <- kxsCloseXsc <- kksCloseCursor
     <- opicca <- opiclo <- opicls

The error can be triggered when trying to run GATHER_STATS_JOB.
