"LbacException: User does not exist" Encountered While Adding An User To a Profile Using OLSADMINTOOL (Doc ID 735375.1)

This problem can occur on any platform.


Adding an enterprise user to an OLS profile using "olsadmintool adduser" fails  for the users synchronized from AD. Works fine for users created directly in OID.


[oracle@ro-rac1 admin]$ olsadmintool adduser --polname ACCESS_LOCATIONS --profname PUB_PROFILE --userdn cn=ada123,cn=usersAD,dc=ro,dc=oracle,dc=com -h -p 13061 -D cn=poladmin,cn=users,dc=ro,dc=oracle,dc=com -w welcome1 -b dc=ro,dc=oracle,dc=com
LbacException: User does not exist


The same operation works fine for the users created directly in OID.
