Symptoms

Converting the SYSTEM datafile and UNDO datafile from platform 'Solaris[tm] OE (64-bit)' to platform 'Linux IA (64-bit)' gives the following error:

RMAN> CONVERT DATAFILE '/u01/data/oradata/PROD/system01.dbf'
FROM PLATFORM 'Solaris[tm] OE (64-bit)'
FORMAT '/u01/data/oratmp/system01.dbf';2> 3>
