Logminer Doesnt Return A Column Value When A Function-Based Index Is Defined. (Doc ID 739124.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 23, 2008

Applies to:

Oracle Server - Enterprise Edition - Version: 9.2.0.8
This problem can occur on any platform.

Symptoms

When a table is created with a function-based index, logminer doesn't return all of the column
values from an inserted row. If the function based index is not used, everything works fine. The
work-around to not use function-based indexes is not available because the table is created and
used by a third party application.
